Four more Welcome to Blumhouse movies will come to Amazon next year

After the success of the first four movies, Welcome to Blumhouse will continue in 2021. Four more movies are coming to Amazon Prime Video.

The four movies will continue to highlight emerging and female filmmakers. It’s a chance for a big production company to get behind newer people in the business, and there’s no doubt that Amazon Prime Video is an excellent platform to showcase them.

According to Comic Book Resources, Amazon Studios Head Jennifer Salke shared that the first four movies had exceeded expectations. They did drop at the perfect time in October, getting us ready for a scary month of the year.

There isn’t a set date for the next four Welcome to Blumhouse movies just yet. All we know is that we’ll have four awesome pieces of content to look out for in 2021.

What to expect from Welcome to Blumhouse Chapter 2

We already know what the four movies will be. Let’s take a look.

The Manor

Directed and written by: Axelle Carolyn

Starring: Barbara Hershey, Bruce Davison, Nicholas Alexander, Jill Larsen, Fran Bennett and Katie Amanda Keane.

What it’s about: Judith Albright moves into a nursing home after suffering a stroke. She realizes that a supernatural being is preying on the people living there, but how can she convince people who aren’t willing to believe her because of the stroke? Instead, she needs to convince everyone that she doesn’t need to be in the nursing home so she doesn’t become the next victim.

Black as Night

Directed by: Maritte Lee Go

Written by: Sherman Payne

Starring: Asjha Cooper, Fabrizio Guido, Craig Tate, Keith David, Mason Beauchamp, Abbie Gayle and Frankie Smith

What it’s about: Black as Night follows a teenage girl with no self-esteem. When she battles vampires in New Orleans one summer with her best friend, a rich girl, and the boy she’s interested in, she gains a new bout of confidence.

Directed by: Ryan Zaragoza

Written by: Marcella Ochoa and Mario Miscione

Starring: Tenoch Huerta, Ariana Guerra, Evelyn Gonzalez, Kerry Cahill, and Elpidia Carrillo

What it’s about: The movie is set in 1970s California, where a Mexican-American couple has moved to while expecting their first child. The wife starts suffering from terrifying visions, which could be linked to a legendary curse or something far more dangerous.

Bingo

Directed by: Gigi Saul Guerrero

Written by: Shane McKenzie and Gigi Saul Guerrero and Perry Blackshear

What it’s about: A group of elder friends refuse to allow their Oak Springs neighborhood to be gentrified. When their Bingo hall is sold to a powerful force, Lupita may not be able to keep her community safe.
