The different Amazon Prime memberships
Most people will sign up for Amazon Prime. It’s the full service that offers two-day free shipping, access to Kindle Unlimited, Amazon Prime Video access, and much more.
The cost is $12.99 per month or $119 per year if you sign up for the full 12 months in one go. If you know you’re going to make use of all the Prime features (or even if it’s just Prime Video and the shipping), the yearly membership is worth it.
You can get Amazon Prime Video on its own. It’s not Amazon Prime Video free, but there is still the 30-day free trial if you want to test out just this part of the streaming service. It’s $8.99 per month to sign up for this, or you can sign up for less than $108 per year.
Amazon Prime for students
If you are a student with a valid .edu email address, there’s some excellent news. You can get Amazon Prime Student. This is the full Prime membership, including shipping Twitch, and more.
You’ll get it for $6.49 per month or $59 per year.
What about Amazon Prime Video Channels?
Then there are the Amazon Channels. They’re not part of the main service. Once you sign up to Amazon Prime Video, you can look into the Channels, including (but not limited to) HBO, STARZ, BritBox, Acorn TV, SHOWTIME, and so much more.
While you can’t get Amazon Prime Video free, you can get the free trial to test it out. After that, you can choose to save money by signing up annually.
