There’s no doubt The Boys Season 1 was good. It entered high on the list of 50 best TV shows on Amazon Prime Video. However, the second season of the series has surpassed it. It’s time for the show to move.

Not quite the top spot

Okay, a little spoiler: the show doesn’t make it all the way to No. 1. I know many of you will expect that considering just how awesome the series is. The Expanse keeps first place, but a lot of that is to do with the fact it has more seasons. It’s had more time to expand its story, and we’ve got to know the characters a little more. There’s time for The Boys to overtake it!

Why does The Boys get the position it has? Well, it’s not afraid to speak the truth and have fun with that truth at the same time. It’s absolutely diabolical at times, and sometimes, we just need a series like that. We need a show that willingly drives a boat through a whale and then has one character remain in that whale carcass ready to die.

It also touches on a lot of real-life topics without being too preachy. Supes are celebrities and politicians. They’re the people the world looks up to, but they are the most corrupt beings going. There are just a few good eggs that offer hope for humanity.

This isn’t a show for kids, but it is a show for those who love violence, humor, and the C-word.
