Everything that happened on The Boys Season 2, Episode 6

We finally found out what Stormfront has had Lamplighter doing throughout The Boys Season 2. Meanwhile, Homelander found out more than he bargained for. Here’s a look at everything that happened in the episode.

The Boys Season 2, Episode 6 picked up with Homelander and Stormfront taking down a “bad guy.” They’re more interested in themselves, and in an interview, it’s obvious to Kimiko and Butcher that they’re together.

However, there’s not much time to focus on that since Starlight has news about Sage Grove. It’s a psychiatric hospital that Stormfront is connected to, and they all need to find out what it is.

As all that goes on, The Deep offers A-Train a Fresca (and we all know what that means) and gives Maeve something from the plane crash from The Boys Season 1.

Maeve is after proof to blackmail Homelander

In the previous episode, Maeve offered The Deep a way back in The Seven. It meant looking for the black box in the plane that crashed. He couldn’t find that, but he did find a camera that may or may not work.

Well, it turns out it does work. It has everything that happened on the plane, with Homelander and Maeve leaving them all to die. Can she use it to take down her tormentor?

However, Elena finds the footage, questioning the woman she loves.

A-Train considers The Church of the Collective

The Deep offers A-Train a Fresca, inviting him to The Church of the Collective to hear about what’s on offer. It turns out the Church knows all about A-Train’s medical problems, debt, and being kicked out of The Seven. The Church wants to “help.”

What is this Church getting out of the two Supes? There are a lot of questions, and I get the feeling we’re only going to scratch the surface when it comes to it.

The Boys head out to the psychiatric hospital

Of course, everyone needs to know what’s going on at the hospital. The Boys head out there, with Butcher, Frenchie, and Kimiko heading into the building while Butcher, Hughie, and Starlight remain on the outside.

While inside the hospital, they find out that Stormfront is testing Compound V on adult patients. They also find out Lamplighter is there. With the information they have, they try to get out. However, Lamplighter sees them and starts to attack.

Frenchie prevents them from being burned to a crisp, but the fire blows off one of the doors to a patient’s room. Other doors are opened. The group has no choice but to run away from the Supe patients before they’re killed, and Lamplighter has no choice but to team up with The Boys.

We do learn that Lamplighter regrets everything that happened to Grace’s grandchildren. He never meant to kill the kids, believing that Grace was in the bed at the time. He feels guilty for everything he did. What he wants to know is why Frenchie never stopped him, knowing that Frenchie was tailing him that night since Lamplighter had been blackmailed into working with the FBI.

Well, it turns out Frenchie was tailing Lamplighter but got a call that one of his friends was overdosing. He had to leave Lamplighter to save a friend, a friend who would eventually overdose on other drugs years later. It was a bad call, but one Frenchie thought he needed to make at the time.

Once the group get out of the hospital, Lamplighter agrees to working with Grace again. He’ll help to take down Vought.

Butcher and Starlight save Hughie

While all that is happening, Butcher, Starlight, and Hughie have a Supe patient appear. He panics and uses his powers against them, causing a blast of pressure that knocks Butcher and Starlight to the ground.

It also topples the van over, which Hughie was inside. Hughie is dangerously injured, but the Supe had wiped out the power in the area. Starlight has nothing to draw her power from, so she and Butcher need to get Hughie to a hospital.

As they get to the road, there’s a driver coming toward them. Sadly, the altercation ends with the driver being killed so Butcher can take the car, getting Hughie to a doctor. Hughie is saved, and the journey gives Butcher and Starlight a chance to get to know each other better.

Stormfront reveals the truth to Homelander

At the very end of The Boys Season 2, Episode 6, Stormfront is honest with Homelander. After all, he’s angry that she lied about heading to a meeting at the Vought Tower. We finally learn how Liberty and Stormfront could possibly be the same person.

Stormfront was married to the Vought founder, who had tested Compound V on those in the Concentration Camps. Stormfront was given the first successful Compound V injection, forever staying young. That photo with the older woman is not her grandmother but her daughter.

And yes, we continue to get the confirmation that Stormfront is a racist. More than that, she’s a Nazi, and she pretty much wants to bring about the Aryan race through Supes. And she wants Homelander to do it with her.

We finish with one of the most dangerous Supe patients getting out of the hospital and hitching a ride. Is she going to show up again on The Boys?
