Batwoman Season 1 is one of the DVD and Blu-ray releases this week

We’re into another week where there are plenty of DVD and Blu-ray releases happening. Once again, it’s mostly about the TV shows on Aug. 18.

The release of multiple TV shows on DVD and Blu-ray shouldn’t be that surprising. Most years, the shows will drop full seasons in July and August to get ready for the September return dates. Even though this fall isn’t going to look anything like previous years, the summer DVD and Blu-ray releases are still happening the same.

There are 12 DVD and Blu-ray releases in total. Here’s a look at the notable additions to shelves.

Notable DVD and Blu-ray releases this week

Batwoman Season 1 is heading to DVD and Blu-ray this week. All episodes released will be included, and the Blu-ray will also include all individual episodes from the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover from other Arrowverse shows. If you get the DVD boxset, you won’t get those episodes.

The Terror: Infamy is another notable addition. The second season of the anthology series was set in 1940s America. Taking place shortly after Pearl Harbor’s attack, the Japanese Americans found themselves placed in internment camps as they were viewed as the enemy. Meanwhile, one of the young men had a spirit following him and it was up to him and his family to figure out why.

For those who are looking for movies, Military Wives is the one to check out. The movie is based on a true story of a choir created for wives of men serving in the British Army. It’s a story of how the choir got started, with the various personalities involved.
