Chemical Hearts is on Amazon Prime Video this week

While August may be quiet, it’s not silent. Nor is it boring. There are three new additions to Amazon Prime Video, and two of them are new Amazon Originals.

Admittedly, this isn’t as good as last week when we have six new titles joining the streaming service. However, it is better than the weekend. At least we have content that we don’t have to get an Amazon Channels subscription for.

What to watch on Amazon Prime Video this week

More from Amazon

We’ll start with the first release on the streaming service. The Cup is joining Amazon Prime Video on Aug. 18 and is great for soccer fans. Inspired by a true story, it follows Palden and Nylma, two boys from Tibet. They escape the country and arrive at a monastery searching for safety. While there, they hook up to a satellite dish so they can watch the World Cup soccer matches.

The other two releases are Amazon Originals, and one is for the kids. Clifford Season 2B is dropping on Amazon Prime Video. That means more episodes for the kids to watch. There’s no way you can say no to them, right?

For those who love romantic movies or YA content, Chemical Hearts is dropping on Amazon Prime Video this week. Starring Lili Reinhart and Austin Abrams, the story is about two people who may be perfect for each other if they’re willing to let go of fears and accept each other (and themselves) for who they really are.

What to look forward to on Amazon Prime Video

The rest of August is relatively quiet. We will get a couple more Amazon Originals, though. Here’s a look at the top new releases coming up.

  • Get Duked — Aug. 28
  • Prime Rewind: Inside the Boys — Aug. 28
  • The Boys Season 2 premieres — Sept. 4

We should get the list of September releases in the next couple of weeks.
