Chemical Hearts trailer: Get a first look at the love story that unfolds
The Chemical Hearts trailer is here and we can’t wait for the movie!
There’s one Amazon Original movie heading to Prime during August. We were already excited about Chemical Hearts because of the cast, but the trailer makes us even more excited.
We’ve already had a small glimpse of the movie. Earlier this month, Amazon released a first-look clip. It was a short one, showing Henry meeting Grace for the first time. They were waiting to be called in to discuss working as co-editors on the school newspaper.

The trailer gives us a deeper look, getting to see why Henry is searching for his one true love and why Grace walks with a stick. It turns out Henry’s parents met as teens and were instantly in love. As someone with parents who met as teens and are still together now, there’s no doubt that it puts a lot of pressure on you as a child.
As for Grace, she used to be sociable. Then a car accident turned her life upside down, and she’s still trying to figure out who she is and what she wants to do with her life.
A story of getting rid of limitations
We tend to put a lot of limitations on ourselves. While we want to do something, we become our own worst enemies, putting barriers in place that aren’t actually there. That’s partially Henry’s situation on Chemical Hearts. He’s searching for that one true love like his parents have, which is potentially holding him back from living his life.
However, sometimes, our bodies don’t do what we want them to do. Grace faces that due to the injuries sustained after her accident. The trailer doesn’t make it clear if her injury is permanent or one that she’s in rehab for. You can read the book to find out, but let’s just stick to the movie! There’s a story in the movie of her removing the physical limitations and figuring out what she wants to do next.
Of course, there’s the love story. Henry and Grace like each other. Could they be that one true love for one another? That’s something to find out, but they both have a lot of growth first.
