When you only have a few hours in the week, you want to use them efficiently. You want to pick the best movies on Amazon Prime Video to watch. That’s why we have the list of 50 best movies on Prime.

August 2020 sees the release of a few great movies, some of them Amazon Originals. It’s time to look at the movies that will make it onto our list this month.

Movies you need to watch on Prime in August

The two Amazon Originals are a must. Chemical Hearts is a beautiful movie about two souls that may be just right for each other. They just have to be open to being with each other through the bad and the good.

Then there’s Get Duked for the comedy fans out there. This is a British satirical comedy, focusing on four teenage boys who head out on the Duke of Edinburgh Award only to find out the Duke of Edinburgh is hunting them down.

There’s also an excellent movie for kids (and parents). The Dora the Explorer live-action movie is a must-watch. Yes, it’s a very predictable storyline, but there are some excellent Easter eggs from the preschool TV series. It’s also a fun ride for children. Those who love Spy Kids will adore Dora and the Lost City of Gold.

Another top pick is The Peanut Butter Falcon. It’s a feel-good movie with some excellent actors and amazing writing. There’s no way to describe this in a way that does it justice!

Here are the movies heading to our list of 50 best movies on Amazon Prime Video with their release dates.

  • Dora and the Lost City of Gold – Aug. 3
  • The Peanut Butter Falcon – Aug. 6
