The wait for the movie all about Marie Curie is over. Radioactive is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
It’s certainly a movie everyone needs to check out. While the story is somewhat fictionalized, there are still many elements that are the truth. One of those is how Marie Curie wasn’t a respected scientist at first. It took years of work and the discovery of something new to make a name for herself among the men.

As she points out in the trailer, science is run by those who still believe the world to be flat. Marie knows that not to be true.
Fortunately, there is a man out there who believes her and follows her work for the greatness that it is. Pierre Curie wants to learn more from her, and he always wants to be with her. Two great minds together can do wonders, and that’s exactly what they do.

Rosamund Pike stars as Marie Curie, with Sam Riley as her husband Pierre. Anya Taylor-Joy, Aneurin Barnard, and Simon Russell Beale also star in the movie.
Jack Thorne wrote the screenplay based on the book “Radioactive: Marie & Pierre Curie: A Tale of Love and Fallout” by Lauren Redniss. Marjane Satrapi directed it.
While there are elements of her life with Pierre, much of the movie is focused on her life after his death. Her commitment to science remains strong, especially when she finds a material that could be used to save thousands of lives.
