Amazon Prime Video is adding more than 40 new titles in August 2020
There are 46 news movies and shows on Amazon Prime Video in August 2020
August 2020 is going to be a little quieter on Amazon Prime Video than previous months. That doesn’t mean it’s going to be boring. It’s all about quality over quantity, right?
There are some exciting new additions throughout the month. For those who love great older movies, Top Gun and the 1981 version of My Bloody Valentine are both arriving on the streaming service.

If you want to see a newer movie, you only have to wait until Aug. 3. Dora and the Lost City of Gold is a must, especially for those with children who love (or maybe loved) the animated series. There are some great Easter eggs and moments that will have parents laughing along with the kids.
When it comes to Amazon Originals, look out for Chemical Hearts starring Riverdale‘s Lili Reinhart and Austin Abrams. Abrams plays 17-year-old Henry Page, who has never been in love but thinks he’s a romantic. He’s on the hunt for that once-in-a-lifetime love that he’s read about. When he meets new student Grace Town (Reinhart), that may finally happen.
Those who love Survivor and The Amazing Race will want to check out World’s Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji, hosted by Bear Grylls. The series follows 66 teams from 30 countries on a non-stop race for 11 days across the Fijian terrain. While the goal is to win, each team wants to prove to be the toughest out there.
Then there’s Prime Rewind: Inside the Boys, the recently announced after-show for the popular Amazon Original. Aisha Tyler hosts the series, with cast and crew members showing up to talk about The Boys. It starts at the end of the month, getting us up to speed ready for the premiere of Season 2 in September.
There’s also a selection of seasons available from the various Amazon Channels subscriptions. You can watch the first seasons of the shows and then sign up to the channels for subsequent seasons.
