Will Emily and Cal get to Nick in time on Absentia Season 3, Episode 6?

Absentia Season 3, Episode 6 sees Emily and Cal head on a train to the Austrian/Czech border. They need to get to the facility that’s holding Nick, but they may not get there in time.

One thing they should be grateful about is that they’re not on Snowpiercer. They take the train across Europe, where Meridian people are onboard. They only want Emily alive, so they’re no bothered about opening the door to the train to throw Cal off it while it moves at full speed.

The good news is both manage to fight their attacks back. It’s the Meridian goons who are thrown off the train, leaving Emily and Cal safe for now. They take the chance to hook up after Cal shares a little of what happened to him when he was a Navy SEAL.

Unsurprisingly, he had a bad chief who ordered the death of an innocent teen and there were other bad things that happened after that. It’s something NCIS: Los Angeles has touched on recently, but also the idea of a teen coming back for revenge has also been touched on in SEAL Team.

Cal shares that his monster came out, and he’s spent the time since trying to suppress that monster; pretend that it isn’t there. I get the sense that it’s going to come out again at some point, but will it be to help Emily and Nick or will it be because he’s working with Meridian?

Nick is being moved

At the facility Nick is being held at, he’s being tortured again. He still refuses to give up the information.

Suddenly, he’s being told he’s moved. The nurse with the burns on her neck tells Nick that he’s going to a special facility. The others are being taken elsewhere.

What does this mean? Nick isn’t willing to wait to find out. He manages to switch places with another prisoner, so he joins those who are being taken as a group. We have no idea who the poor soul is that has been chosen to take Nick’s place. He doesn’t seem all that bad for doing this. It’s a matter of survival right now.

Emily and Cal get to the facility, but it’s too late. The facility is being cleared out and someone is taking the nurse somewhere, and it looks like she’s a prisoner. Nick is on a truck with the other prisoners going to who knows where.

As Emily and Cal look around the facility, they see a lot of hospital beds where prisoners have clearly been experimented on. There are baths of water clearly used for torture. It’s a horrible place that brings back some traumatic memories for Emily. She needs to fight through them to save Nick.

Emily does recognize some of the faces on a large board. They’re all the victims found that Nick was investigating. So, at least they’re in the right place, but at the wrong time. Now they need to figure out why the place is being cleared out and where Nick is being taken to next.

Crowne continues his investigation

Meanwhile on Absentia Season 3, Episode 6, Crowne continues to search into Gunnarson’s past, sure that she could be the mole. He finds out that someone cleared $60k of credit card debt and the $400k mortgage on her home. He decides to ask Gunnarson’s ex-girlfriend about that.

It turns out the ex paid the credit card debt after they broke up. Technically, it was the ex’s debt.

The mortgage? Gunnarson’s mother passed away and the money left in the will cleared the mortgage. It’s that simple, but it’s clear that nobody at the FBI really knows Gunnarson. It continues with the idea that she could be hiding things.

Of course, the ex tells Gunnarson what Crowne has done. So, Gunnarson turns to Crowne and accuses him of being the mole. In the end, she wants to work with Crowne to find out who the mole is without bringing Washington in right now. They need to get Nick back before Washington slows everything down due to an internal sweep.

If they can’t figure out who the mole is together and continue to suspect each other, then they can bring Washington in.

So, we’re back at square one with the mole. It continues to seem like it could be Cal, but isn’t that too obvious?

Flynn and Warren get to safety

Warren pulls in at a farmhouse. It’s his house, and somewhere that Flynn should be safe. Nobody should know about this place. Hopefully, Meridian doesn’t.

Flynn is ready to protect himself. He doesn’t want to learn to shoot a rifle though, despite wolves around. Instead, he wants to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow like Emily. Warren is more than happy to oblige.

I’m looking forward to some quality bonding time between the two of them. However, I get the sense that something is going to happen to Warren and Flynn will have to use the bow and arrow to protect himself.
