Hanna Season 3 is happening but what do we know about it so far?

We got some great news just 10 days after the release of Hanna Season 2. Amazon Prime Video has confirmed Hanna Season 3 is happening.

Now it’s time to look at everything we know so far about the third season. There isn’t much right now, but we can update this post as more information becomes available.

We don’t have a release date just yet. It is possible to work out a rough release date based on the official renewal and the time it took between the first two seasons.

The renewal has come through at the same time the second season was confirmed, 10 days after the release of the previous season. It took 15 months for Season 2 to premiere, so we’re looking at probably at least the same amount of time for the third season. I’d suggest that October 2021 is the earliest we’ll get Hanna Season 3.

This could be delayed further. Filming isn’t happening in many parts of the world. This could affect the filming of Hanna. Writing has to happen first, though. With some hope, filming restrictions will be lifted enough once the scripts are ready.

Hanna Season 3 cast

We can take a guess that Esmé Creed-Miles and Mireille Enos will return the show. There isn’t a series without either of them, especially with the way the second season left us off.

However, casting hasn’t yet been confirmed. There’s a good chance that we’ll see Dermot Mulroney back as John Carmichael, even if it’s just for an episode or two. He was an excellent antagonist and it will be fun to see where the show goes with him next.

Áine Rose Daly and Gianna Kiehl could also return as Sandy and Jules. The two played the girls who stuck to their missions, confused at how someone could disobey orders—and why they would even want to. We’ll need to see how they take a change to the regime.

The one person I have to question returning is Yasmin Monet Prince, who played Clara. We don’t need to see Clara back, but I do get this sense that the story isn’t over there. It would be nice to believe that she lives a happy life with her mom, but Utrax isn’t going to stop looking for her.

Neither a trailer or synopsis for a third season have been released yet, which isn’t that surprising. We know that David Farr will return as showrunner, but he hasn’t told us what he plans to do with the third season just yet.

These are parts of the season that will be revealed much closer to the release date.

What we can assume right now is that the show will pick up where the second season left off. Hanna and Marissa have a chance to take down Utrax from the inside, changing it into something good. What will they do and who will attempt to stop them?
