This isn’t all that unusual. The show isn’t a global Amazon Original and airs on other networks first. If the first two seasons are already on Prime, the third season should eventually end up there. However, it’s not going to be right away.
All eight episodes will drop together. Now let’s get into the details of the season.
Absentia Season 3 trailer
As well as offering the release date, we also get a look at the trailer. It’s a one-minute-30-minute long trailer that offers an insight in the next crime that Emily Byrne will need to investigate. However, this isn’t something that immediately involves her.
It’s certainly going to be a case that pushes everyone to the limit. There are questions about whether the investigation has to happen alone or as a team.
Synopsis for the third season
Emily Byrne is coming to the end of her suspension with the FBI at the start of Absentia Season 3. That means she should be able to just return to work and throw herself back into the latest case. However, a new criminal case hits close to home.
Emily finds herself on another journey that will affect her family, putting their lives at risk one more time. And while she does it, she’s desperately trying to hold everything together. Can she solve the case and get the answers before it’s too late?
She’s not alone in the case. Her ex-husband Nick Durand will also be involved. They need to find a way to work together to solve the case, but he’s not the one that can really help Emily. She needs to turn to Colin Dawkins, Rowena Kincade, and Cal Isaac and learn how to trust again.
Absentia Season 3 cast
Who is involved in the third season? We know that Stana Katic is back, who also serves as an executive producer on the show. Patrick Heusinger will also return as Nick Durand.
We’ll also see Geoff Bell as Colin Dawkins, Josette Simon as Rowena Kincade, and Matthew Le Nevez as Cal Isaac. Neil Jackson, Natasha Little, Paul Freeman, and Christopher Colquhoun will also star in the season.
