Upload Season 1, Episode 9 recap: Lake View gets an update
It’s Update Eve in the universe on Upload Season 1, Episode 9. This is an exciting time for the digital people. Here’s everything that happened.
Update Eve is a big deal for all those at Lake View. Whether it’s the individuals working there or the digital characters, something new is coming. What could possibly go wrong on Upload Season 1, Episode 9?
It all starts with a talk about how important it is to make sure all clients are asleep during the update process. Nora realizes that keeping Nathan awake could mean he gets his memories back. Or it could mean he’s wiped out from existence. Is he willing to take that risk?

Of course, he is! And Nora has a gift for him. She managed to steal one of the coding pens from one of the tech people. Nathan can use it to get into Lake View’s code, which could be useful later.
Nathan also has a way of getting out from under Ingrid. He asks Jamie for a loan. Jamie, who now admits that he slept with Ingrid and that’s why he’s been avoiding Nathan all this time, offers him $3k. It’s enough for Nathan to survive in 2gb status for now.
Also, before the upload can take place, there’s an egg hunt. Aleesha tries to get Luke to find the hunt, even cheating to find out where it is. However, Luke ignores all her suggests. Since the customer service rep gets $1k, Aleehsa sends David Choke to find the egg. He has enough money but Aleesha doesn’t. She’s willing to do anything to win.
When Nora wakes Nathan up for the update, she gets a message on her screen to say that someone is awake in the system. Does she want to cancel the update? Nora tells Nathan that going through with the update could mean everything that’s happened in Lake View to him could be erased.
However, Nathan says he doesn’t want to go through with it. He doesn’t want to forget everything that’s happened already. Nora decides the truth is more important and goes through with the update, opting to restore his memories.
Will he remember Nora? You’ll have to wait for the Upload Season 1 finale to find out.
