Castle Rock Season 2 DVD release date change: Coming in July 2020

There’s some sad news for those waiting for Castle Rock Season 2 to come to DVD. The release date has been pushed back to July 2020.

If you were excited about Castle Rock Season 2 heading to DVD in June, there’s some bad news. The season now won’t be available until July 2020.

It isn’t clear why the release date has been changed. With some shipments being delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, it’s likely linked to that. But really, the “why” doesn’t matter. All you want to know is when you’ll be able to own the Annie Wilkes season at home.

Castle Rock Season 2 will head to DVD on July 21, 2020. For those who would prefer to own it right now, you don’t need your Hulu subscription. The full season is available digitally through Amazon Video already.

Castle Rock Season 2 opens up the Stephen King multiverse even more than the first season. Annie Wilkes finds herself in a small town after being waylaid. There, she needs to do everything she can to protect her daughter. However, that means holding back a secret about her daughter that could destroy the entire family.

Local businessman, Reginald “Pop” Merrill” is dragged into the story thanks to his nephew, Ace, stirring up trouble with Annie and other locals. We also get two new characters in the story, Abdi Howlwadaag and Dr. Nadia Howlwadaag, who have a close connection to Pop.

Lizzie Caplan, Tim Robbins, Paul Sparks, Barkhad Abdi, Yursa Warsama, Elsie Fisher, and Matthew Alan star in the season. All 10 episodes will be available on the Castle Rock Season 2 DVD, along with a featurette focused on Annie Wilkes.

The season will be available on both DVD and Blu-ray, with the Blu-ray copy offering a digital code to get it in both formats.
