Tuesday, April 15 sees a small selection of DVD and Blu-ray releases. Here are the top three you need to consider this week.

It’s time for a new week of DVD and Blu-ray releases. While Tuesday, April 15 will only see a small selection, there are some excellent additions to the physical shelves. Whether you want a crime drama series, comedy, or a meaningful movie, there’s something for you.

Of course, it may be a little harder than normal to get your physical copies. You can also get digital copies of everything available this week.

3. The Righteous Gemstones Season 1

More from TV on Amazon

There are many stories of televangelists, but you can never have too many, right? Espceially not when they’re hilarious! The Righteous Gemstones is a must-watch, and Season 1 is one of the top DVD and Blu-ray releases of the week.

The series focuses on Eli Gemstone, the patriarch of the megachurch. He wants to expand his empire and make sure his family is ready to take over. However, not all his children want to be a part of the lifestyle.

What happens when a family member or two get involved in scandals that could destroy the family’s reputation? You’re about to find out!

2. Just Mercy

If you want to stick with something serious and meaningful, Just Mercy is the movie for you. Michael B. Jordan portrays a lawyer who wants justice for people who wouldn’t normally be able to afford his services.

He believes in justice, and he wants the right people to go down for crimes. That means he’s going to help Walter McMillian get off Death Row, because the evidence suggests that he didn’t murder the 18-year-old woman he’s been convicted of.

Naturally, there are roadblocks in the way. There are people who don’t want him to represent those that he does. And the color of his own skin is going to create unfair barriers.

1. Criminal Minds: The Final Season

When it comes to top DVD and Blu-ray releases, there can only be one that makes it to the top of the list. It’s all about the final season of Criminal Minds. It’s not always easy to end a show, but I think Criminal Minds did an excellent job.

In fact, out of all the shows ending between 2019 to 2021 that I watch, this is the final season that I currently rank the highest. It offered a mixture of serialized and procedural elements, brought us some great flashbacks of characters, and delivered an ending that made sense for all.

You can also get Criminal Minds: The Complete Series on DVD and Blu-ray if you’ve missed out on previous seasons.
