Invisible Life

More from Amazon Originals

There are three movies heading to the streaming service this month. The first of those is Invisible Life, which follows the life of two sisters. The two have been kept apart due to a lie, believing that they’re in different parts of the world. It turns out that they’re both in the same city and will fight to find each other again.

The Brazilian movie is set in the 1950s. It brings a period setting with a different country and a bittersweet story. After its success at TIFF, it’s one of the Amazon Originals you need to check out.

Invisible Life heads to Amazon Prime Video on Apr. 3

Les Miserables

This isn’t another version of the Victor Hugo novel. Instead, Les Miserables is a French movie that was inspired by the recent Parisian riots.

When Stéphane joins Montfermeil’s Anti-Crime Brigade, he likely didn’t expect the tensions that he sees. The district is full of different groups, made all the worse when there are dirty cops around. While inspired by the Parisian riots, it does also offer a look at the lower classes and the forgotten, very much like the adaptation of the 18th-century-set novel.

You can watch Les Miserables from Apr. 10 on Amazon Prime Video.
