ZeroZeroZero has a chance to show how drugs can make the world go round. Now that you’ve binge-watched the first season, it’s time to look ahead at the future. Is there a chance Amazon will renew ZeroZeroZero for a second season?
It’s hard to make a call on this series. ZeroZeroZero isn’t just an Amazon Original. While North America got it on Prime, in Europe, the series was distributed but HBO Europe. In fact, initially, it premiered on Italian TV.

However, it’s unlikely that there will be a second season. The series was billed as a miniseries, suggesting that the creators believe that there’s only one season worth of a story. Of course, being billed as a miniseries doesn’t mean that there’s never going to be a second season.
We’ve watched other miniseries turned into multi-season shows. Some shows, like Big Little Lies, find a way to continue the story. Other miniseries have been turned into anthology shows. Either option could work well for ZeroZeroZero. After all, the story focused on one cocaine shipment. There’s a lot more that makes the world go round.
The ending also left things open to keep the original characters. There’s more to their stories considering the events across the globe.
However, it’s all going to depend on the reception of the series. We loved the first season and it received high praise across Europe, but has it been enough to encourage the producers to create a second season? That’s the big question—and a question we don’t get answers to because we don’t get to see Amazon’s streaming details.
So, we just have to go by the reception. With hope, there will be a second season, but we can’t say yes or no for sure.
