But what about the trailer? It gives us very little away but does give us a hint that it’s all about one thing call “The Loop” that everyone is somehow connected to. For some, it may mean nothing special. For others, it seems to lead to developing powers that are beyond the imagination.
According to the short synopsis for the new series, it’s based on Simon Stålenhag’s beautiful paintings. “The Loop” is a machine that has been built to unlock the mysteries of the universe. It allows people to explore all the wonders, making sci-fi possible.
During the trailer, we get a look at some of the abilities that have been unlocked. Some have the ability to stop time around them, while others seem to have the ability to open black holes and possibly create clones of themselves.
Jonathan Pryce, best known for Game of Thrones and The Wife, stars as Russ. He helps to unlock the mysteries. Is he the one that built the machine to bring the mysteries to life in the first place? Rebecca Hall, Duncan Joiner, Daniel Zolghadri and Nicole Law also star. The series was created by Nathaniel Halpern.
It’s certainly going to be interesting to see how this plays out. Sci-fi can be a difficult genre to succeed in. For every Star Trek there are so many flops. Can Tales from the Loop, which is inspired from paintings instead of being a book adaptation, be the former?
