Will The Lodge stream on Amazon Prime Video?

The Lodge is attempting to do something no horror movie in 2020 has done so far: scare you. Will you be able to watch it on Amazon Prime Video for free?

The year 2020 has not been good to horror movies just yet. However, The Lodge is going to try to fix that. It wants to keep you on the edge of your seat.

If you can’t get to it in theaters, you’ll likely wait for the DVD release. But what about if you’re just not sure? You may want to wait until the movie heads to streaming first so you can watch it with no financial risk. Will Amazon Prime Video be a way to watch The Lodge for free?

Sadly, it’s unlikely. The Lodge is a NEON movie, and these movies don’t typically head to Amazon Prime Video. The Beach Bum is not available on Prime Video, for example. However, it can depend on various contracts. I’d just settle for the movie not heading to Prime Video.

The movie is likely to head to Hulu instead. That’s where you can stream The Beach Bum and other NEON movies. So, you’ll likely need a subscription there. If you’re anything like me, you have the subscriptions instead of the $200+ per month cable subscriptions.

The Lodge is going to be worth checking out according to the critics. These types of movies don’t fare well when it comes to the critic reviews, but The Lodge is Certified Fresh with a 75% score on Rotten Tomatoes. A lot of these reviews come from the Sundance Film Festival.

The audience isn’t as positive. It currently has a 46% score from audiences, and it looks like it’s just not scary enough. I think this is one of those movies that depends on what you want to gain from a horror movie.
