Honey Boy is about a boy who has to relive the trauma of his past. After being court-ordered through therapy, he looks back at a childhood with an alcoholic and abusive father. A childhood star, he quickly allows struggles to deal with everything that brings. We see the dysfunctional childhood, the missed opportunities, and the struggle to keep himself focused and on track.
It’s a deep and emotional tale, something that everyone should see at least once. This path of redemption is full of struggles and pain. But it’s all worth it in the end.
