Released in 1985, The Goonies remains a firm favorite for many. It’s a story of friendship and long-lasting bonds. In a small town where the future is at risk, a group of young boys head off on an adventure for treasure. Of course, it’s not all that easy when they’re chased by criminals who want the treasure for themselves.

This group of young boys put a spirit in all of us to do what’s right. We gained a passion for adventure and a dream of finding something big and amazing. It’s no wonder the movie found a cult following, which still remains to this day.

To top it off, in 2017, The Goonies was selected by the Library of Congress to be preserved in the United States National Film Registry. It’s significant culturally, aesthetically, and historically.

You’ll know many of the actors who starred in the movie. Avengers‘ Josh Brolin got his first big role in the movie, while Sean Astin, Jeff Cohen, and Corey Feldman also starred. It’s a treasure for all, and perfect for the entire family to watch.
