When will Underwater be released on DVD and Blu-ray?

Kristen Stewart stars in the new creature feature, Underwater. When will the movie be released on digital, DVD, and Blu-ray?

Underwater is a brand new creature feature released this weekend that stars Kristen Stewart, T.J. Miller, Vincent Cassel, Jessica Henwick, John Gallagher Jr., and Mamoudou Athie. The film follows a group of underwater researchers who find themselves the targets of monstrous beings after an earthquake awakens them.

If you’re a fan of monster movies or even movies in outer space, Underwater should appeal to you. The trailers have made it seem similar to claustrophobic alien invasion films set in space, simply set beneath the ocean this time around. For some people, that’s even scarier.

While critics aren’t loving the film — it currently has an approval rating of 47%on Rotten Tomatoes — audiences seem to be more forgiving. The early social media chatter has been fairly positive with people calling the movie surprisingly mean and tense. Stewart has received praise for her dynamic role.

If you enjoyed it, or you simply want to wait for it to release to watch it, you might be wondering when it will become available on DVD, Blu-ray, and digital. Previous 20th Century Fox productions Ad Astra, Ford v. Ferrari, and Terminator: Dark Fate, have all taken about three months to transition from theaters to home video. That means we can anticipate seeing Underwater on Blu-ray and DVD by sometime in April 2020.

As for its digital release date, typically Fox properties come out on digital about two weeks before their physical release date.
