Ad Astra coming to DVD and Blu-ray in December 2019

Brad Pritt’s latest sci-fi thriller, Ad Astra, officially has a home video release date. The film will hit shelves this December.

In Ad Astra, Brad Pitt plays an astronaut named Roy McBride. He embarks on a deadly trek through the solar system to discover the truth about his father and try to prevent a threatening event from destroying life on Earth.

The film was hailed as an epic feat in filmmaking by critics and received a Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Aside from Brad Pitt the movie also stars Tommy Lee Jones, Liv Tyler, Donald Sutherland, and Ruth Negga. The movie was initially released at the Venice Film Festival this past August before receiving its wide release by 20th Century Fox in September.

You’ll be able to add Ad Astra to your digital collection beginning Dec. 3. Physical copies will be released in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD format on Dec. 17. If you’re planning to purchase the film, it is now available for pre-order through Amazon.

It should be noted that the audio commentary is not included on the DVD or digital versions but the Space Age featurette on VFX is exclusive to the digital version.
