You Season 1 available on DVD this month
There’s a late addition to the lineup of January DVD releases. After the release of You Season 2 on Netflix, You Season 1 is heading to DVD.
Some Netflix Originals will head to DVD and Blu-ray. That’s the case for You Season 1, now that the second season has been released on the streaming service. It’s a late addition to the January DVD releases.
You: The Complete First Season will be available on DVD on Jan. 14, 2020. Yes, that is just a few days away. You’ll have it this Tuesday, and there is time to pre-order it if you know that you want it in your collection. You can also buy all episodes on Amazon Video, which doesn’t happen for all Netflix Originals.

One of the benefits of owning Netflix shows on DVD is not having the need to keep the monthly subscription. Of course, this does depend on how you use Netflix. If you’re anything like me, you keep Netflix and Amazon Prime Video for the monthly new releases, especially in terms of Originals.
You Season 1 was originally on Lifetime. It was saved from cancellation by Netflix after the show gained millions of viewers through the streaming service. The second season is also extremely popular, and will likely head to DVD sometime early next year.
The first season follows Joe Goldberg as he falls in “love” with a customer in his bookstore, Beck. However, that “love” is more like an obsession, and he finds himself stalking her. It’s a thrilling ride as we watch just how far he’ll go for “love.” Based on the novel of the same name by Caroline Kepnes, you’ll want to binge-watch all 10 episodes without looking at any spoilers if you haven’t seen it so far. This isn’t a tale you want ruining for you (and I say that from experience).
