Will The CW release Crisis on Infinite Earths on DVD and Blu-ray?

The first three episodes of Crisis on Infinite Earths has aired. We’ve got two more coming in 2020. Will we get all five on DVD and Blu-ray in the future?

The epic Crisis on Infinite Earths has certainly impressed us so far. This has been one big gel of five different Arrowverse shows, delivering on a promise made a year ago. We’ve had three episodes and the next two will come in 2020, but there’s one major question that needs answering. Will The CW release Crisis on Infinite Earths on DVD and Blu-ray in the future?

Let’s be honest, this is one of those crossovers that would work as a solo DVD release. We don’t need all other episodes of all other shows mixed together. We just need the five episodes of the crossover. Hey, the Crisis Aftermath episodes could be the bonus features on the disc.

Right now, there doesn’t seem to be a hint that Crisis on Infinite Earths will come to DVD and Blu-ray in the future. This hasn’t happened with previous crossovers.

Will that mean having to get all seasons of all five shows to be able to watch all five episodes? Probably not! In previous years, the extra episodes have been added on as bonus features to each of the individual show boxsets. So, Arrow Season 7’s DVD boxset had the Supergirl and The Flash episodes that made up that three-part crossover. The Flash Season 5 included Arrow and Supergirl‘s episodes. You get the idea, right?

It’s likely that this will happen again. However, I do think The CW (or more like Warner Bros.) should release the crossovers on a boxset. They could even release Elseworlds and Crisis on Infinite Earths together to make the boxset all the more valuable.
