Undone on Amazon: Is the series canceled or renewed for Season 2?

Undone is Amazon’s greatest adult animation. In fact, it’s the only adult animation. The big question is whether Undone Season 2 is happening or not.

As we get to the end of the year, we’ll start to look at all the shows that could be canceled in 2020. Will Undone be one of those shows on our list? Will it be renewed for a second season?

Amazon has already decided on the fate of its only adult animation series. Undone is officially coming back for a second season. I think you might be cheering just as much as me!

This is a series that has made waves across the entertainment landscape. There is everything right with this series, focusing on mental health (and not just depression), family, grief, and so much more. While the story was told through animation, that just allowed to make some of the elements of the time travel and other fantastical parts seem more lucid. We had a chance to really see what it was like inside Alma’s mind.

The series ended with a cliffhanger that we needed answers to. Minor spoilers, but Alma went to a cave believing that her late father would walk out of it alive and well. Had she managed to change time or had everything been in her head? We didn’t get the answers, but now we have that chance. Undone Season 2 will give us the opportunity to explore whether Alma had these time-bending abilities or if it was just part of her mental health problems.

That’s not all. Deadline reported the renewal along with the news that co-creator Katy Purdy has signed an exclusive deal with Amazon Studios. That means we’ll hopefully get more of these progressive and supportive stories on Amazon Prime Video.

We don’t yet have a date or even year for the show’s return. While we’d hope for 2020, I do have a feeling due to the animation needed that it will be 2021 by the time we see Undone Season 2 on our screens.
