Seberg trailer: Get your first look at Kristen Stewart’s upcoming movie

Kristen Stewart has come a long way since the Twilight movies. With a growing acting career, you can see her soon in Seberg. Check out the official trailer.

You’ll be able to see Kristen Stewart in the newest Charlie’s Angels movie this weekend in theaters, but she has another movie coming up. The Amazon Original Seberg will be coming to select theaters soon, and this is your chance to check out the first official trailer.

The movie is a telling of Jean Seberg’s story. Stewart plays the leading lady, who made a name for herself for her acting career and her support of the civil rights movement. It was the latter that would lead to her becoming a target for the FBI. After all, with her voice and power, she could pull more into the 1960s movement.

Seberg’s home and phone lines were bugged by Hoover’s harassing force. She had no idea whether she could trust anyone, and it’s not surprising it took a toll on her mental health. When she died in 1979, her second husband claimed that the FBI was partially to blame for their actions that affected Jean mentally.

This noir-like thriller will give us some of those details. We’ll get to see Seberg’s rise to fame, her affair with Hakim Jamal (played by Avenger‘s Anthony Mackie), and the fear Jane lived in due to the FBI’s tapping. The Seberg trailer will give you just a hint of what’s to come in the movie.

Seberg is set for a limited release on Dec. 13, 2019 in the United States and Jan. 3 2020 in the UK. It’s not clear which movie theaters it will come to. After this, it will eventually come to Amazon Prime Video.

The movie was released at the Venice Film Festival, where it gained moderate reviews. Movies about real people are always tricky to get right, especially when it comes to movies about the FBI, surveillance, and the civil rights movement. It’s not surprising that the critics are mixed, but it will be interesting to see how the audiences react.

As well as Stewart and Mackie, Seberg stars Jack O’Connell, Margaret Qualley, Zazie Beetz, and Vince Vaughn. Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse wrote the screenplay with Benedict Andrews directing.

Whether you know the story of Jean or not, this is going to be a movie you want to check out. Kristen Stewart has come a long way since her Twilight days, and she’s finally getting a chance to fully stretch her acting chops.
