Will Midway be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video?

Veterans Day weekend has seen the release of the hot World War II movie of the year. Midway tells the story of the four-day Battle of Midway. If you can’t see it in theaters, you may want to wait for it to come to streaming. Will Midway come to Amazon Prime Video?
As a Lionsgate Pictures movie, we can say that it will head to Prime. Lionsgate recently brought an end to the license between it and Epix but made it clear that all movies in 2019 that hit theaters will come to Amazon Prime Video in the near future. Midway will be one of the last that heads to Prime automatically.

This likely won’t be until around this time next year. It takes about a year for movies to make it to a streaming service, especially Lionsgate movies.
Starring Ed Skrein, Patrick Wilson, Woody Harrelson, Mandy Moore, Aaron Eckhart, and Darren Criss, this is a movie that you’ll need to check out. It also stars The Man in the High Castle‘s Luke Kleintank, so this is a chance to see him do something set in the same time period but fighting for the right side of justice.
It tells the story of the Battle of Midway, which saw the U.S. forces take on the Japanese over the course of four years. There are some beautifully-shot flight scenes, which will remind many of the 2001 movie Pearl Harbor.
While critics aren’t favorable of the movie, that isn’t all that surprising. It takes a lot to impress critics with it comes to these types of wartime movies. However, audiences love it, with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 91%. Arguably, that’s what matters.
