Amazon Prime bringing new Ted Bundy dou-series in 2020

There’s a fascination with serial killers and the people connected them. Is it that surprising that Amazon Prime is bringing a new Ted Bundy docu-series?

People are fascinated with serial killers and the people connected to them. Ted Bundy has been one of the most talked-about and focused on when it comes to TV shows. Just recently, Netflix had its own movie about the man. Now it’s Amazon Prime’s turn to bring a Ted Bundy docu-series.

Coming in 2020, Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer will be a five-part docu-series, telling the story from Bundy’s long-term girlfriend’s point of view. We’ll get to see extensive interviews with both Elizabeth Kendall and her daughter.

The idea is to reframe Bundy’s crimes, telling the full story from the female perspective. This will uncover more of the man’s pathological hatred for women and how it collided with the 1970s feminist movement.

Kendall and her daughter have remained silent for the last 40 years. Now they’re opening up to share details of what it was like to be with Bundy, and why they remained in his life, according to NME.

There isn’t yet a date for the release. All we know is that it will come to Amazon Prime sometime next year. This is going to be an international original, meaning all 200 countries and territories will get to see the five-part docu-series.

This isn’t the first time Amazon has delved into the docu-series world. Just recently, the subscription service gave us Lorena Bobbitt’s story in a docu-series. This was slightly different as Jordan Peele took time to reinvestigate the situation.
