Prodigal Son is one of the newest shows hitting primetime TV this fall. It’s also one of the first to premiere, following 9-1-1 Season 3’s premiere on FOX. There are high chances you’re looking at how to watch the series and whether Amazon Video will be an option.
Sadly, if you want to watch live, Amazon Prime Video won’t be an option. This is all due to licensing agreements. FOX is now owned by Disney, which also owns Hulu. You’ll be able to watch through Hulu’s live TV on FOX or directly via FOX online and a few other live streaming options. Amazon Video isn’t an option for live streaming.

This gets you the full season, with episodes being available the day after they air in the United States. You’ll get the episode direct in your library, and there’s no need to have an Amazon Prime subscription to access.
Prodigal Son stars Tom Payne as Malcolm Bright. Malcolm is gifted as someone who knows how a criminal’s mind works. That gift isn’t just happenstance. It’s based on living with a serial killer. His father, played by the brilliant Michael Sheen, is known as “The Surgeon,” a notorious serial killer who is now locked away.
When someone seems to be copying “The Surgeon,” Malcolm knows that it’s a copycat. Now he needs to help figure out who the murderer is, and that could mean heading back to where it all began.
