Last week in Amazon Videos: Fleabag, Savage x Fenty, and more
Between Sept. 16 and 22, Amazon released a strong selection of videos on YouTube. Here’s a look back from Fleabag, Savage x Fenty show, and more.
Some weeks see a large selection of videos released on Amazon Prime Video’s official YouTube channel. This was one of those weeks. In the runup to the Emmys, there was plenty of Fleabag coverage, while also promoting the newest Original, Savage x Fenty Show.
It’s time to take a look back over the week. Here’s everything from Sept. 16 to 22.
More Carnival Row behind the scenes
The week started out with another behind-the-scenes look at Carnival Row. After looking at the costumes and the characters, it’s time to look at another magnificent part of the series: the set. Despite being in a world of fantasy, the show needed something realistic and majestic for the setting, and that’s exactly what the Row and the various places in the Burgue offer.
In the video, the cinematographer, cast, and creator Travis Beecham take us into what creating the sets was like. We look at why the creation of these sets was so important for the feel of the show.
And what would the show have been without the makeup? That was the second Carnival Row video of the week.

The surprise addition to Amazon Prime Video last week was Rhianna’s Savage x Fenty Show. During the week, we got the teaser trailer for the special. This is more than just a fashion show, as the second video that would be released during the week show.
There was a focus on clothing for all sizes. The dance preview made that extremely clear, promoting body confidence and respect.
That was followed by a preview of the music artists during the Savage x Fenty Show. If the teaser didn’t get you to check out the Amazon Original, the focus on the musical acts certainly would have done.
Still not enough? There was another teaser of what to expect in the series, including more glimpses of Carnival Row‘s Cara Delevingne in the fashion lineup.
Fleabag clips
With the Emmys 2019 coming up, there was plenty about Fleabag out on the YouTube channel. It all started with Olivia Colman as Godmother, who was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. We got a selection of clips of Fleabag’s Godmother putting her down every possible moment.
That was quickly followed up with the Hot Priest, that took up the attention if Fleabag Season 2. We get a real look at how this priest is nothing like any priest you’ve ever met. Want to know how it works out between Fleabag and the Priest? You’ll need to watch the season!
And we all know how hot Fleabag can be in the middle of the comedy. Getting us ready for the wins at the Emmys 2019, Amazon shared the hottest scenes.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel to finish off the week
Of course, the streamer had to promote another show that was set to win some of the Emmys. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel“The Long Story Short” to recap the pilot episode is one of the more popular comedies on the network, and for good reason. Amazon started with of the series. If you’ve not checked out the first episode yet and aren’t sure if this is a series for you, this video could be for you.
But the top video for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has to be the one all about Susie. After all, Alex Borstein did end up walking away with the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series during the Emmys 2019 (following on from the Emmys 2018 win).
We know Susie is great when it comes to standing up against men. That’s just what we get in the selection of clips.
What will this week bring in videos? I guess we’ll have to wait to find out but there’s a lot to live up to!
