Will Amazon renew Undone for a second season?

Undone has only just debuted on Amazon Prime Video but eyes are on the future. Is there a future for Undone? Will Amazon renew the animated series?

In a world of reboots, revivals, and adaptations, it’s not easy to find something that’s wholly original. Amazon is on a roll recently with both Carnival Row and Undone being released within weeks of each other. We already know that the fantastical series has been renewed, but what about the animated series? Will Undone Season 2 happen?

Let me start by saying that it should. This was far better than I could imagine, and I’m not just talking about the storyline. The graphics were intriguing and beautifully done, adding another layer of depth to the whole show. It felt real watching it—the lack of realism is one of the reasons I’m not really into animation.

Then there’s the story. In a world of time-bending and space-shifting, everything and anything is possible. I’m still only onto Episode 6 of the series, so I don’t know how Undone Season 1 ends, but even if it ends with Alma figuring out who murdered her father, there are so many possibilities to this story.

There will still be lessons to learn, character growth to experience, and more mysteries to unfold. And that’s if Alma doesn’t end up telling others that she has this new ability and find herself lock away on some psych ward because people fear what she could do to herself or others. Of course, that psych ward wouldn’t necessarily lock her there with her abilities, but you never know.

It’s time for more wholly original shows to get a boost. Give us something new and exciting. Test waters, push boundaries, and allow creators to imagine. Undone offers that and Amazon needs to renew it for another season.
