Jim Gaffigan: Quality Time

Amazon starts with Jif Gaffigan as he performs his seventh comedy special. There are times that we look at attending events and then decide not to. Sometimes we know right away we just don’t want to. But why do we lie about why we’re not attending events? Doesn’t this tell our kids that sometimes it’s okay to lie

This four-time Grammy-nominated comedian focuses on the white lies. Whether it’s birthday parties or weddings, we have our reasons and it’s time to embrace the Quality Time.

More from Amazon Originals

Next up is the two-person standup-improv special from Kristin Hensley and Jen Smedley. This is all about female topics in a straight-up, honest way. If you love The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel then you’re definitely going to want to check out this comedy special.

There are moments about periods, sex after marriage, parenting failures, and body image. This is something to help boost self-esteem and just laugh about the whole she-bang, because we are not alone in this.

Mike E. Winfield: StepMan

The third comedy special coming to Amazon Prime Video this month is from Mike E. Winfield. There are a lot of dos and don’ts when it comes to being a stepparent. There are horror stories of stepchildren and stepparents not getting along. Winfield goes through his experience as a stepfather to a boy he shares a lot of similar qualities to.

This is a relatable hour. Even those who aren’t stepparents will be able to relate to much of the comedic moments. It’s time to break down the barriers and unite stepparents and stepchildren.

Alice Wetterlund: My Mama Is a Human and So Am I

Alice Wetterlund is the next comedian to take to the stage. Best known for Silicon Valley, she’s going to take you on this hour-long journey of personal struggles and more. Prepare to get honest with Alice, as she talks about alcoholism and peeping toms, as well as lighter subjects like cat-rearing and alien conspiracies.

This is going to be something for those who like the slightly more heavier topics. It’s a comedy special who loves when their comedians get honest and raw, but still manages to make you laugh.

Alonzo Bodden: Heavy Lightweight

While you want honesty, you also want to laugh. Sometimes, the topics can be too deep and too heavy. There’s only so much comedy that you can gain from the topics because they are just depressing. Alonzo Bodden gets that, which is why he mixes heavy with light.

This comedy special jumps between the two types of topics. You’ll get to laugh, but you’ll also get to think and feel. This is a special that will stick in your mind for all the right reasons.
