Free Meek looks into the life of Rihmeek Williams, better known as Meek Mills. It’s not the initial legal case that sparked the major legal battle, although it certainly wasn’t unbiased and fair. The aftermath brought up the issues and the campaign for freedom began. You see, a prison sentence of two years led to an eight-year probation sentence, which led to a decade of turmoil and extra time behind bars.

The upcoming Amazon Original, Free Meek, tells the full story. This is more than just a wish to free one man, but a focus on reforming the whole criminal justice system. Of course, there’s certainly no impartiality. Free Meek is on the side of Meek, as the five-part miniseries takes us through the beginning to the current progress (the legal ordeal still isn’t over).

So, what time can you start streaming Free Meek on Amazon Prime Video? Most Amazon Originals are released at midnight GMT on Prime. This is great news for those in North America. It’s possible to start streaming a day earlier, around 7 p.m. ET and 4 p.m. PT (you know how time zones work, right).
While the release is technically on Aug. 9, you’ll want to start looking in the evening on Aug. 8. You may just find that the episodes are available to stream earlier. It will be available from Aug. 9 at midnight at the very latest.

This isn’t going to be an easy series to watch. You’re going to get angry at moments, both at the racial bias and the justice system in general. However, it’s most definitely worth the watch.
