After a long wait, The Boys is finally available to stream on Amazon Prime Video, and it’s everything we hoped for and more. This was certainly worth the wait. Now it’s on the list of 50 best TV shows on Amazon Prime Video, and it debuts high.

It was only natural that the show would make it to the list. This is a series that people have been talking about since around the time of New York Comic-Con 2018. We didn’t have a date or much in the way of footage, but we knew this was going to be amazing. Based on the graphic novels of the same name, the TV series was adapted by Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen, and had a number of major stars connected to it.
Thankfully, it has lived up to expectations and more. This isn’t a straight-from-the-source adaptation. It’s taken the characters, the main story points, and the world, and then built upon the top of that. It’s brought some of the one-dimensional characters and given them new life.
This is a series for its time but also one that will remain timeless. Many of the focuses are on topics of the day that will continue to be talking points until things in the world vastly change. The only people this series isn’t for is those too young for the graphically violent and adult plot points.
