Amazon has plenty of new arrivals in July 2019. Avoid the overwhelm by watching only the best. Here are the three shows added to the 50 best shows on Prime.

July is a good month for new content on Amazon Prime Video. Sometimes it can be overwhelming looking at the long list of releases and you just want to know the best picks. There are three shows from the list making it to our list of 50 best TV shows on Amazon Prime Video right now.

One of the shows won’t be that surprising. It’s all about one of the most highly anticipated shows of the whole year, The Boys. Based on the graphic novel of the same name, this superhero drama isn’t going to be for children. Think of it a little like Titans on DC Universe but much darker.

Another notable mention in the superhero genre is Pennyworth. This Epix series will tell the story of Alfred Pennyworth because he became Bruce Wayne’s butler and guardian. It’s the story of how he became a security guard to Thomas Wayne.

The third show on the list is Trapped, which sees its second season drop on Prime. This Icelandic series has 10 episodes dropping on the service very soon. After a politician in Reykjavik Is attacked, Chief of Police, Andri, has to return to his hometown. He works with his colleagues to figure out who the suspect could be and what the link is to the far-right nationalists. It’s an intriguing thriller that you’ll certainly not want to miss.
