He’ll play 17-year-old Henry Page, who has never been in love but views himself as a romantic. He wants the type of love that you see in the movies — the type that is passionate and is a once-in-a-lifetime type of love. Will that be something he can get from new girl Grace (Reinhart)?

Until he meets Grace, Henry is happy to put all his attention on the high school newspaper, which he’s the editor of. However, senior year certainly throws him a few curve balls.
Chemical Hearts is based on the novel, Our Chemical Hearts by Krystal Sutherland. Unlike many novel adaptations recently, this is being made into a movie instead of a TV series and filming has already started production in New Jersey.
Before the movie is released, which will likely be on Amazon Prime Video, one of the production companies on the movie, you can catch Abrams in plenty of other productions. Most recently, he’s in HBO’s Euphoria. He’s also going to be in Guillermo del Toro’s Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and in Youngest.
When it comes to Amazon, you’ll want to check out The Americans (all six seasons are on Prime Video) or Brad Status, co-starring Ben Stiller.
Abrams is a rising star to look out for. You’ll certainly want to check out Chemical Hearts when it’s released. There’s no timeline on that just yet.
