How to watch Big Little Lies Season 2 premiere tonight on Amazon Prime

The second season of the critically acclaimed television show Big Little Lies airs tonight! Here’s how you can watch it on HBO through Amazon Channels.

Tonight is the night for the Season 2 premiere of Big Little Lies! You will be able to watch live with Amazon Prime, however, you will need an Amazon Channels subscription for HBO first. Signing up is definitely worth it to watch the best television shows!

You can begin your trip to the sandy beaches of Monterey later tonight on HBO, and every Sunday evening for the next seven weeks. To watch with your Amazon Prime membership you are going to need to sign up to HBO through Amazon Channels, which is available for just $14.99, with a seven-day free trial.

When signing up you will sign up through HBO Now. This will grant you access to many of HBO’s hit shows such as Game of Thrones, Chernobyl and of course Big Little Lies at home or on the go. If you wish to watch live it will be available at 9/8c, allowing you to watch at the same time as everyone else.

Recalling the events of Season 1, this season will be primarily focused around Perry’s death a fair deal. The teaser trailer introduced Mary Louise Wright (Meryl Streep) who is Perry’s mother. Of course, she wants to know what happened to her son that fateful night. The group seems very tense around Wright, and I think we can expect much more drama from everyone involved.

Reese Witherspoon who plays Madeline Mackenzie said in a statement that Season 2 will provide “the opportunity to delve deeper into the lives of these intriguing and intricate Monterey families and bring more of their stories back to the audience who embraced and championed them.” I think this season will be different from the previous season but all the families have interesting stories to tell and seeing them more in-depth will be great and more natural.

Good news though, all of the cast will be returning – Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Nicole Kidman, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern, and Adam Scott. There was a big speculation if he would be returning to play Witherspoon’s husband, but luckily he is!

The first season of Big Little Lies was based on the best-selling book of the same name by Liane Moriarty but there was not a second book so HBO have free reign over Season 2. I have read it myself and loved every moment of it. If you wish to read it you can via Amazon Kindle or if you are like me and prefer the paperback it is also available to purchase on Amazon.

The series has already won eight Emmy awards and four Golden Globes. I expect more to come after this next season.

The episodes will be available to purchase through Amazon Video after the season fully airs.
