Amazon Prime Canada is finally getting access to Amazon Channels. Which Channels will be included? Here are all the details you need.

For a long time, Amazon Prime Canada fans have had to get all their subscriptions in different places. That’s slowly changing as Canadian Prime members are finally getting access to Amazon Channels.

It’s been a long time coming, something many have wanted to see added to the service for a while. However, it’s not the full list of Channels that the U.S. members get just yet, which was something mentioned last month when we learned Canada was getting access. This will be due to licensing.

More from Amazon Channels

There is still going to be plenty of choice. In fact, there are going to be Channels that are Canada-only, such as STACKTV, which will offer access to the Canadian networks. While there are many shows that are U.S. network shows, there are others that offer Canadian-made TV. STACKTV will likely be one of the more popular channels with the number of shows and networks available through it, including HISTORY, Nat Geo, W Network, and Showcase.

STARZ is the more surprising addition for me personally, something that wasn’t originally meant to be added. It was only just added to Crave TV, after Bell gained the rights to include the channel to its lineup. What’s not clear just yet is whether the STARZ Channel will include all shows. Right now, shows like Outlander, American Gods and Power aren’t available through the Channel on Crave because of deals elsewhere.

One of the more notable Amazon Channels missing is likely to be HBO. While there is a HBO Canada, it’s not available as a Channel through Amazon Prime Canada. Bell has the exclusive rights to air the premium network and it’s only available through Crave TV. This may change in the future, but won’t for a while.

It’s not clear exactly when Amazon Channels will be available. However, Prime members will likely get an email soon about the addition.
