If you’re looking for a crime drama with a horrific twist, it’s time to turn to Amazon Prime Video. The streaming service is getting darker with Too Old to Die Young debuting in June.
There’s a new crime drama on its way. While this genre tends to be overdone, Too Old to Die Young promises to be something darker and more twisted. You’ll get to watch the series in June, when it debuts on Amazon Prime Video.
This wasn’t on the list of shows and movies coming to the streaming service in June. It would be easy to overlook it because of that. However, it’s not going to be one that you want to miss. Too Old to Die Young debuts on June 14, 2019.

Starring Divergent’s Miles Teller, the series has already debuted two of its episodes to the world. Episodes 4 and 5 were shared at Cannes Film Festival and has been met with a mixture of reviews. While Teller’s acting and creator, director, and writer Nicholas Winding Refn’s writing have been commended, there are complaints about the violence against women.
There is the argument of showing something realistic, and this show certainly attempts to delve into that. There are times it’s nauseating, but it’s also well-written and makes it addictive viewing.
The series follows a police officer who is grieving and ends up in the underworld of working-class hitmen, cartel assassins, Russian mafia captains, and so much more. Don’t expect to like the characters fully but the question will be whether they have any redeeming qualities that make you feel something sorrowful for them.
Too Old to Die Young has 10 episodes and all will be made available together. This has been two years in the making and if the trailer (below) interests you, then you’re going to want to check it out.
