When will Rocketman be available to buy on DVD, Blu-Ray, and Amazon Video?

The legendary Elton John is finally getting a biopic. Rocketman is now in theaters, but when can you buy it on DVD, Blu-Ray, and Amazon Video?
Like Bohemian Rhapsody last year, Rocketman is a biographical musical film aiming to explore the story of a musical legend. This time, the focus is on Elton John. Taron Egerton (Kingsman) will star as Elton and Richard Madden (Game of Thrones) plays the role of his first boyfriend/manager, John Reid.
Currently, critical reviews of Rocketman are overwhelmingly positive. Many are praising the film for its honesty in depicting Elton’s ascent into stardom. Unlike Bohemian Rhapsody, Rocketman will not shy away from Elton John’s sexuality or how his love life impacted his journey.

Rocketman will tell the majority of Elton’s story with a flashback framing device. It will focus on his journey to recovery from alcoholism as he recounts his life leading up to that moment. The movie will also feature some of his most famous musical performances.
With all the praise the film has been receiving, it is likely many people will want to buy the movie to rewatch at home. When can you expect it to become available on DVD, Blu-Ray, and Amazon Video?
Typically, with movies released by Paramount Pictures, it takes approximately three months for a film to go from theatrical release to home video. Their last film, Pet Sematary, came out in April and will be available to purchase this July. This means we can anticipate Rocketman releasing on DVD and Blu-Ray at the end of August.
As for when it will be available on Amazon Video, typically Paramount Pictures releases their films digitally two weeks before the physical release. This would put Rocketman’s date sometime in the middle of August.
