Amazon Video is a little different. This can come out one or two weeks before the DVD release date. However, as this is a Walt Disney movie (20th Century FOX is now owned by Disney), we’re actually looking at around the same time as the DVD and Blu-ray release. Disney doesn’t tend to release digital copies early.
The movie won’t come to Amazon Prime Video as part of your membership. However, it will likely come to the Disney+ streaming service.
Tolkien is a biographical drama about J.R.R. Tolkien. Yes, the man behind the Lord of the Rings novels. He and a group of writers and artists help him gain inspiration and courage during college, and this is a chance to see his earlier life. Along the way, he meets Edith Bratt, who would become the love of his life.
However, as World War I breaks out, everything changes. Friendships are tested and their “fellowship” could end up being torn apart.
