TV shows come and go. Some we cling to more than others. With the May sweeps in sight, it’s time to look at the TV shows still in danger of being canceled in 2019 and five already-canceled shows Amazon needs to consider saving.

Every year, TV shows are canceled. They’re often the poorer performing shows in terms of live ratings, especially when it comes to the primetime networks. However, the low live ratings can also be a warning sign for the cable networks.

With May sweeps in sight, there are still a number of TV shows on the bubble. And then there are the Amazon shows that, months after being released, are still waiting for a decision. It’s time to breakdown all the different shows and determine which ones are most in danger.

I’ve looked across the board for this. Well, almost. For the shows in danger of being canceled, I’ve stuck to primetime, cable, and Amazon — so no Netflix even though there are many shows on the list.

When it comes to the TV shows Amazon should save, I’ve opted to look at shows completely across the board. This means Netflix is included.

I’ll disclose three shows that I’ve not put on the list that Amazon should save right now. Timeless has been on my lists before but hasn’t made it this time. While I love the show, I personally feel like it’s been too long, the cast has moved on, and I’ve read that Sony doesn’t expect it to be saved. It is one of the most expensive shows out there with works against it.

Wynonna Earp isn’t on this list, despite my love for it. It’s not actually canceled yet, so there’s actually nothing to save. The production company is reportedly going through financial problems, but I get the feeling that SYFY and Space — the networks that air it in the U.S. and Canada — would happily step in to save it if it came to it.

Finally, I’ve left One Day at a Time off the list. While I would love to see it happen, other networks are in talks by the sounds of things right now and there are other shows that don’t have these talks going on.

So, into the list of 15 TV shows in danger of being canceled and five that Amazon should definitely save.
