Will The Twilight Zone be renewed for a second season?

Many shows come and go but I think The Twilight Zone will be on that sticks around for a while. Here’s why I think it’s getting renewed for a second season.

When it comes to platforms like CBS All Access, Amazon Prime Video, and Netflix, it’s hard to tell if a show will be renewed. The viewer ratings aren’t released on a weekly basis, making it difficult to tell just how many people are watching. So, it leads to questions about whether shows like The Twilight Zone will be renewed for a second season.

Personally, I think the reboot series with Jordan Peele will be picked up. It’s certainly got a loud social media following, giving us a sense of people who stream it on a weekly basis. This following is international thanks to the deals between CBS All Access and the international networks and streaming service.

The Twilight Zone had a following long before the series premiered on CBS All Access in April. It was one of the most highly anticipated new shows of the year, with fans old and new intrigued by the stories that would be told. With a mastermind like Peele behind it, it was bound to be exciting and enthralling.

Each episode has offered something different, just like the original series. There are some you’ll love and some you’ll dislike, but that’s always been the way with anthology shows. The benefit of an anthology series is that fans don’t need to tune in every single week and watch the episodes in order. I missed the premiere but watched the second episode and have watched weekly since then.

While we don’t get to know the ratings, there is a fan base out there. The series hasn’t disappointed, capturing the feeling of the original series for the modern day. It deserves a second season.
