There isn’t too long to wait for Jordon Peele’s reboot of The Twilight Zone. The anthology sci-fi series will premiere on CBS All Access in April.

The TCAs has been a big time for networks to make announcements. For CBS, it involved a lot of talk about shows coming to CBS All Access, it’s streaming service in the U.S. and Canada. The Twilight Zone is one of the most talked about shows coming this year and it now has an April premiere date.

Jordan Peele, the mind behind the successful horror Get Out, is running the show for this reboot. Premiering on April 1, with two episodes. After that, it will be released in weekly installments from April 11 and already has a high-profile cast attached, including John Cho and Taissa Farmiga. Episodes will be exclusive to CBS All Access in the United States (and likely in Canada unlike Star Trek: Discovery). There’s no news on where it will be available worldwide yet, but Star Trek: Discovery does go to Netflix worldwide.

Peele isn’t just running the show. He’ll also be the narrator on the series, which was a major part of the original show. Each episode tells its own tale of sci-fi and fantasy horror.

Those who haven’t watched the original series can do so currently on CBS All Access, where a number of shows owned by CBS are currently available to stream. Those episodes will remain even when the reboot begins to air.

Out of all the reboots currently on air or coming soon, The Twilight Zone is the one that I’m most excited about. As a fan of the original series, this is one of those shows that can continue to tell weird and wonderful tales forever because of its anthology set up. I don’t think it’s going to feel much like a reboot and more like a continuation, similar to Doctor Who.

You can get access to CBS All Access through Amazon Channels. With a seven-day free trial for new subscribers, this will be a great way to check out the series in a few months. Plus, there are no contracts, so you can get access for a couple of months to watch the new episodes and then cancel until a show you want to watch again comes up.
