The Twilight Zone kicked off with two episodes on April Fools’ Day. Now it’s time to get into the regular schedule with Episode 3, Replay.
To celebrate a new month and this highly anticipated reboot, The Twilight Zone got a two-episode special on April 1. Now it’s time to resume regular programming. Well, as regular as you can get with a show like The Twilight Zone, with Episode 3.
Titled “Replay,” you may at first feel like you’ve seen it all before. It’s a take on Groundhog Day but with an eery and twisted sense. A woman believes that she’s reliving the same day over and over again.

I think the key to this is that the description says “believes.” When other shows and movies use the Groundhog Day approach, the make it clear that the main character is reliving the same day over and over again. The Twilight Zone is instantly making you second guess what this woman thinks is happening to her, allowing you to figure out the truth along the way with her.
Like the synopses for the first two episodes, this one is short. We don’t get to know the details of what is actually going to happen throughout the episode and what the thing is she thinks she needs to stop. Even the promo doesn’t give too much away.
Jordan Peele narrates another episode. This one stars Sanaa Lathan as Nina Harrison, Damson Idris as Dorian Harrison, and Glenn Fleshler as Officer Lasky.
