50 best TV shows on Amazon Prime Video: Hanna enters the Top 10
Amazon’s latest Prime Original, Hanna, is finally out and it’s on the list of 50 best TV shows on Amazon Prime Video. Where does it enter the list?
Hanna is the latest Amazon Prime Original to debut on the streaming service. Based on the movie of the same name, it’s a reimagining of the story created by the movie’s co-writer David Farr. In fact, Farr has written seven out of eight episodes of the series.
As promised earlier this month, Hanna has made it onto our list of 50 best TV shows on Amazon Prime Video. You can check out the full list to see where it ranks in the Top 10.

Starring Esme Creed-Miles, Joel Kinnaman, and Mireille Enos, the series is about a young girl who has spent the first 16 years of her life in the wilderness with her father, on the run from a rogue CIA agent. The first episode was released on Prime for 24 hours following the Super Bowl, receiving mixed opinions. However, there’s a full season to delve into now.
This is one of those storylines that reminds you not to underestimate your opponent. During the trailer, Kinnaman’s Erik Heller reminds his daughter that people will believe her to be weak because of her small size. She can use the perception and her training to her advantage, as it’s clear that she is anything but ordinary.
You’ll certainly want to check it out for the conspiracy and the threat from Enos’ Marissa Weigler. She wants Erik for something and the first episode give no indication why Erik and his wife had to steal Hanna from the hospital — assuming she really was their daughter! Nor does it explain why they were on the run in the first place.
