There may be plenty of TV shows to stream on Amazon Prime Video today, but what if you want to catch a movie? Friday nights are perfect for one movie that you can grab a glass of wine and relax with. Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot is a beautiful tale based on real life now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

When it comes to most life-changing event movies, there is usually some sort of message pushed down the throat. That’s not the case with this Prime Original movie. While you do feel for the main character, it takes time for him to become likable. There is a sense of being redeemable, but you’re not forced to feel sorry for the events that he went through.

This isn’t a sentimental movie. However, it is an honest and sincere look at John Callaghan’s life. Joaquin Phoenix and Jonah Hill show off their best performances ever.

For those who haven’t heard, Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot is a look at John Callaghan’s life. An alcoholic just getting by, he’s completely changed after a car accident. Realizing that he needs to get sober and with the support of his girlfriend, he goes into a treatment program. That leads to him finding talent for drawing and his recovery grows from there.

Reviews on Rotten Tomatoes are excellent, with the movie currently being rated Certified Fresh.
