Which Prime Originals are coming to Amazon Prime Canada?
One of the downsides of not being in the United States is not getting access to all the great content on streaming services. Which Prime Originals can you get on Amazon Prime Canada in January?
Every month, Amazon Prime shares all the great content that is coming to its streaming service. Then you realize that most of it won’t make it to the international versions. Amazon Prime Canada can often feel completely left out, especially considering the Original movies and the British programs don’t make their way over.
Out of all the Prime Originals coming to the streaming service in the U.S. in January, only two will make their way to Prime Video Canada. There are minimal extra additions, but they don’t quite seem to make up for the lack of other Originals and movies. Out of all the streaming services, Amazon needs to improve its listings in Canada the most.

Informer and The Grand Tour coming to Amazon Prime Canada
Only two Prime Originals will be on the service. Informer drops on Jan. 11, at the same time as in the United States. This is a surprise considering all the other Originals that started in the UK haven’t come to Canada in the past.
The Grand Tour Season 3 is also available at the same time as elsewhere, on Jan. 18. This isn’t as surprising since Canada gets the majority of worldwide Originals like everywhere else.
It’s annoying that movies such as Life Itself and Beautiful Boy haven’t made their way to Prime Video Canada. These are Amazon Studios movies, so should be considered Originals, similar to Netflix Films.
Will & Grace coming to Amazon Prime
The partial saving grace is that Will & Grace is coming to the Canadian streaming service. You’ll be able to watch all eight seasons of the original series and then catch the first season of the revival. This could be a sign that the current season will be available at some point after NBC airs all the episodes.
It just may not be enough to make up for the fact that a lot of other content that the States gets is missing. Considering the cost is only a few bucks less a month than Netflix, Amazon needs to start offering more, especially when it comes to Prime Originals.
